Environmental education at the Giara Park

Discovering the habitats of the plateau

Let’s turn the Giara Park into an open-air classroom to become familiar with nature, recognize through scents, touch and play the environments, landscapes. Listening to the voice, the whispers. Know its character, creative power, colors. Learning respect for its value. These are some of the goals of the environmental education projects we offer to schools. Biodiversity for the little ones The Giara Park with its countless species and subspecies gives us plenty of material to talk about biodiversity and the importance it constitutes for humans and the environment. The didactics designed for this training course wants the children to be protagonists, through the group and by enjoying play as an experiential training methodology.

Environmental Education activities for schools

Environmental education at Giara Park is an extremely dynamic activity. The scavenger hunt with a series of environmental riddles is definitely one of the parts that children like best. In addition, a series of riddles and trivia fixes in children’s memories the characteristics of the main species and plants in the Park.

For the afternoon, immediately after a packed lunch or farm lunch, we can continue with activities at the Giara Park or make a visit to the museums in the village of Genoni.

How to book school trips

Usually, during school trips an entire museum is dedicated to the activities of a single school. Since there are not many dates available we suggest booking well in advance for your school’s day.

Reservations are recorded both by e-mail and by telephone. In addition, you can always receive the updated school catalog with all proposals, costs and scheduled activities by sending your request via e-mail.
