A day of prevention, solidarity and nature
On May 11, 2025, the community of Genoni will be tinged pink for a day dedicated to prevention, outreach, and land appreciation.
Genoni in Pink is an event open to all, combining wellness, awareness and social engagement through a walk and ride on the Giara, convivial moments and a scientific conference.
PROGRAM OF THE DAY
Morning – Nature and movement on the Giara di Genoni
9 a.m. – 1 p.m. – Free breast ultrasound and breast examinations with palpation teaching. Walking tour
8:00 a.m. – Meeting and registration walk
Reception at the Genoni Sports Center Peppi Locci
Welcome coffee and distribution of pink T-shirts to all participants. The procession will go through the town center to the Social Center on Rome Street.
9:00 a.m. – Departure of the excursions
Walking Route
Transfer by bus to the starting point at the Giara parking lot.
Walk of about 8 km, among ancient paths, breathtaking scenery and close encounters with the Giara’s wild horses. The route, suitable for all ages, includes a short uphill section (400 m with a 10 percent gradient) and culminates at the scenic viewpoint of Zeppara Manna.

Horseback riding
Itinerary of about 16 km, led by local horsemen and amazons, with veterinary assistance and farrier in tow. An immersive experience to discover the natural heritage of the Giara.

1:00 p.m. – Social lunch: taste, sharing and solidarity
Return to the Genoni Peppi Locci Sports Center for a convivial time of tradition, solidarity and good food.
The luncheon will be an opportunity to get together, refresh and make a concrete contribution to an important cause.
Solidarity lunch menu – € 25 (INCLUDES walk, shirt and welcome coffee)

- Sardinian-style malloreddus with pork
- Stewed pork with a side of vegetables

đź’—All proceeds will be donated to the Komunque Donne ODV Association to support projects dedicated to prevention and women’s health, with a focus on research and early diagnosis.
Afternoon – Conference on women’s health.
3:30 p.m. – Start of work
Medical-scientific insights on the importance of prevention, early diagnosis and innovations in research.
